Emergency demolition permits have been filed for a portion of the Verdi Building, located across from Washington Square in North Beach, San Francisco. The brick structure standing at 659 Union Street has been left vacant after being ravaged by fire in 2013 and 2018. The application states that 50 feet of brick wall at the rear of the building will be removed.
This morning, San Francisco’s Environmental Review Officer will hear presentations on the proposed project at 875 Sansome Street. The project, first reported on by SF YIMBY in February of 2024, will require the demolition of an existing commercial structure to make way for a new residential building. The meeting today will discuss the environmental impacts and reasonability of the project.
Updated plans have been published for the small residential infill at 430 Green Street in North Beach, San Francisco. The project will replace a 1906-built house with two new apartments. RDK Consulting is responsible for the design, and Reuben Law is responsible for the application on behalf of the individual property owner.
The San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to review the eight-story proposal at 425 Broadway in North Beach, San Francisco. The development has been undergoing planning department review since its last change of ownership in 2017, evolving several times and increasing its potential residential capacity to 75 units. San Jose-based Yeh’s Development is the project applicant filing through Montgomery Place LLC.
Permits have been resubmitted for a residential infill at 430 Green Street in North Beach, San Francisco. The latest application comes a week after the 2023-filed plans were withdrawn from the city’s planning review process. Reuben Law is responsible for the application as the property owner representative.
