New building permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 2435 San Pablo Avenue in the Poets Corner of Southwest Berkeley. The development would provide a group living accommodation totaling 40 sleeping units and a manager’s apartment. Alameda-based Wang Brothers Investments is responsible for the development as the property owner.
Developers will be presenting the preliminary design review for the 845,590 square foot research campus at 600 Addison Street later tonight to the Berkeley Design Review Committee. The project will add a new campus for medical research in the Southwest Berkeley neighborhood, overlooking Aquatic Park. Lane Partners and LB2 Partners are developing as a joint venture.
Berkeley’s Design Review Committee is expected to approve a new three-story medical facility at 800 Dwight Way, just blocks from the waterfront Aquatic Park in industrial Southwest Berkeley. The project, dubbed Building 69, is to house phases two and three of Bayer’s Cell Culture Technology Center. PM Group is responsible for the design and project management.
