Funding has been secured for a new eight-story student housing project at 2538 Durant Avenue in Southside, Berkeley. ACRES Capital, a national real estate lender, is providing the $10.5 million loan. Valiance Capital is the project developer.
The Austin Group has been granted a $28.15 million construction loan for the eight-story residential infill at 2440 Shattuck Avenue in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. The loan was secured by Highland Realty Capital, the same firm that secured $3 million for pre-development costs for the Austin Group. The project has already broken ground, with completion expected by 2024.
New plans have been filed for a residential infill at 805 Jones Street in Northwest Berkeley, Alameda County. The project will add to the existing structure and build three new duplexes. Berkeley-based Wadlund+ Design Studio is listed as responsible for the design.

The proposal will replace the existing religious facility with the 50-home Friendship Senior Housing development in West Oakland, Alameda County. The property owner is listed as the Geral Agee Ministries and the Friendship Community Development Corporation.
