A new 17-story student-oriented development has been proposed for 2128 Oxford Street through 2132-2154 Center Street in Downtown Berkeley. The mixed-use proposal would fill in the low-density college-town skyline with 285 new units geared on top of ground-level retail. Core Spaces and Core Berkeley Oxford LLC are responsible for the development.
Entitlement permits have been filed for 501 Mosley Avenue Block A, the first of several structures proposed in the North Housing Development Plan in Alameda. Block A will add 155 new apartments to the Alameda County housing market across two structures. The development team consists of a partnership with Alameda Housing Authority, Alameda Point Collaborative, and Building Futures.

A preliminary project assessment application has been filed, revealing for the first time a proposed 58-story residential tower for 620 Folsom Street in SoMa, San Francisco. Located between Hawthorne, 2nd Street, and Howard Street, the address would create 623 new rental apartments, boosted by the 50% state density bonus. Ground Matrix is listed as the applicant.
Enhanced preliminary permits have been filed for Apollo, a proposed 16-story mixed-use tower at 32 Stockton Avenue in San Jose. The development will rise next to Google’s city-altering Downtown West development by Diridon Station. Apollo would add 406 new units to the city’s housing market. Urban Catalyst is responsible for the development.
