New renderings have been revealed ahead of the Planning Commission review of 7 South Linden Avenue, a seven-story residential proposal in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The transit-adjacent project is expected to create 543 homes by the South San Francisco Caltrain Station while expanding the burgeoning urban growth of the downtown area further south. Essex Property Trust is the project developer.
University of San Francisco may soon expand its campus at 270 Masonic Street in Anza Vista, San Francisco. USF President Paul J. Fitzgerald and USF plan to expand interdisciplinary learning and research in the sciences. After 10 years of discussions with the nonprofit that owned it, University of San Francisco purchased Blood Bank located at 270 Masonic Street for $31 million in June. The purchase adds 1.5 acres to the Hilltop campus.
The proposed designs for Sunnydale Block 9 have been approved. The project proposal includes the construction of a residential building offering 100% affordable units, landscaped areas, courtyards, and onsite residential amenities. Related California, Mercy Housing, Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, Architect Van Meter Williams Pollack, and Associate Architect KMA are all on the project team.
The preliminary project assessment application has been filed for a new six-story self-storage building and an affordable housing project at 1700 Egbert Avenue in Bayview, San Francisco. The plans will expand the existing ExtraSpace Storage facilities while adding affordable housing overlooking Williams Avenue and the nearby train tracks. S2 Partners LLC is the project sponsor.
New plans have been filed to replace a ground-floor medical office with a new house at 325-375 Castro Street by The Castro in San Francisco. The project will increase the site’s residential capacity from four to five apartments. SIA Consulting is responsible for the design and application.
