The plans utilize the State Density Bonus program to create 232 apartments, with 28 affordable, directly across from the Potrero del Sol park in Potrero Hill. The first-time housing developer Christopher Goode, whose family has owned the property for decades, is responsible for the project.

State Launches Investigation For San Francisco’s Lengthy Approval Process

For this reason, the State of California’s Department of Housing and Community Development has launched its first-ever investigation with the Housing Accountability Unit. According to the HCD, the team will be “identifying and removing barriers to approval and construction of new housing there.”
