For June, we saw the shortening of 50 Main Street, new renderings revealed for several towers, construction starting on a San Francisco park and Berkeley apartments, topping out of 200 Park Avenue in San Jose, and demolition permits for 10 South Van Ness.
New permits show renewed activity for the proposal to transform 2107 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood. The plans reimagine a 112-year-old structure, restoring its residential functionality, and simplifying the exterior. Stanley Saitowitz | Natoma Architects is responsible for the design.
Representatives for 3700 California Street have filed a request to extend the approved entitlement for a 31-building residential redevelopment of the Sutter Health-owned medical campus in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights. The move comes after TMG and Sutter Health backed out of the redevelopment plans in May of this year. The campus was listed for sale by CBRE.
SHVO, the new owner of the Transamerica Pyramid and two adjacent buildings, has started renovations of San Francisco’s iconic property with an official ceremony. Though not a traditional groundbreaking event, dirt was shoveled by many important local representatives next to Michael Shvo. Plans for renovating the 50-year-old landmark are designed by Foster + Partners.
The official groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday morning for the Sunnydale Community Center in Visitacion Valley, San Francisco. The project, dubbed the Sunnydale Hub, will create a Wu Yee child care center, the Herz recreation center, and a new clubhouse for the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. The project is part of the Sunnydale HOPE SF master plan by Mercy Housing and Related Companies.
