New renderings have been revealed for a residential project proposed for development at 67-69 Belcher Street in the Castro district in San Francisco. The project proposal includes the addition of 36 new units to the city’s housing market. The proposal will replace a single dwelling unit. Durkin Inc is the property owner. Stanley Saitowitz | Natoma Architects is responsible for the designs.
Tidewater Capital is scheduled to request an extension for the approved nine-story residential infill at 430 Main Street and 429 Beale Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The proposal, first approved in 2018, will replace two low-slung commercial structures with 144 homes near the Embarcadero. Tidewater Capital is the project sponsor.
New plans have been filed to replace parking with housing at 801 Corbett Avenue on Twin Peaks, San Francisco. The plans would create eight new apartments for the property while helping to reduce car dependence in the hilly neighborhood. Jay Behr Architecture is responsible for the design.
California Assembly Member Matt Haney has introduced legislation to eliminate appeals for build permits. The State-wide law, AB 1114, aims to reduce insecurity for residential development after receiving entitlement in San Francisco, the only jurisdiction in California with such an appeal opportunity.

The transit-adjacent project is expected to create 543 homes by the South San Francisco Caltrain Station while expanding the burgeoning urban growth of the downtown area further south.
