Plans for a townhome development at 1431 El Camino Real are heading to the Burlingame Planning Commission, a city close to SFO and San Mateo in San Mateo County. The project will yield six new units with parking. GGH Investments LLC, led by a Hillborough-based resident, is responsible for the development.
Levy Design Partners is the project architect, while Land Planning Concepts is responsible for the landscape architecture, which includes a front and backyard and a new tree along El Camino Real. The facade will include cement plaster, lap siding, and wood panels, informed by the city’s design guidelines.
The 35-foot tall structure will yield around 6,500 square feet of residential space, with 600 square feet of common open space. The structure will cover just under half of the 0.18-acre lot, leaving much of the area for vehicle use.
All six units will have two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, ranging between 1,064 and 1,195 square feet each. Residents will include two covered parking spaces using mechanical vehicle stackers and private balconies.
The city reviewed this application in 2017 and again in 2018. Once more, 1431 El Camino will be reviewed by the Burlingame Planning Commission on Monday, February 14th and 7 pm in the Consent Calendar section, a section for non-controversial plans that are all but guaranteed to be approved. Construction will replace a four-unit structure.
The property is bound by Adeline Drive, Hillside Drive, and Balboa Avenue. SamTrans bus stops are located on the same block as the property. Burlingame’s Broadway commercial thoroughfare is just five minutes away on foot, with the Millbrae BART and Caltrain stop just over 12 minutes away by bus.
