Plans Finalizing for Westport Cupertino Housing Project in Cupertino, Santa Clara County

The proposal for 21267 Stevens Creek Boulevard expects to add 267 new apartments into the Silicon Valley housing market in Cupertino, Santa Clara County. Recent reporting by the Bay Area News Group has revealed that the project expects to break ground by the Fall of this year and would replace a retail center with new market-rate and affordable housing for seniors living in the hometown to the Foster + Partners-designed Apple headquarters. KT Urban and The Pacific Companies is responsible for the development.

New Renderings for 600 South 1st Street, Downtown San Jose

New renderings have been released ahead of today’s hearing with the San Jose Planning Director for Garden Gate Tower at 600 South 1st Street in Downtown San Jose. The proposed high-rise will have 23 floors, adding 336 residential units to the San Jose housing market above four commercial retail spaces. The London-based project owner, Scape, is behind an addendum request for a shorter project with more units. Scape specializes in the design of student dormitories.

Historic Structure Moved from 600 1st Street for Garden Gate Tower, Downtown San Jose

Downtown San Jose was treated to a spectacle Sunday morning when the historic structure at 8 East Reed Street was lifted from the ground and moved across the city by truck. The Kelly Brothers House Movers conducted the job. The relocated four-plex will become affordable housing managed by Habitat for Humanity. Other involved parties include the Preservation Action Council of San Jose, the City of San Jose, and KT Urban. KT Urban will be responsible for developing the proposed 27-story residential tower dubbed the Garden Gate.
