New permits were filed proposing the merger of several parcels and the construction of a new four-story apartment building located at 5139 MacArthur Boulevard in Oakland. The property is being called Mills Grove due to its close proximity to the historic Mills College at Northeastern Campus. The most recent permits appear to be a modification to previous permits filed at 5091 MacArthur Boulevard earlier this year.
Permits have been filed for a five-story residential development at 5091 MacArthur Boulevard in the Maxwell Park neighborhood of Oakland. The project will add 28 apartments across from the Mills College at Northeastern University campus. South San Francisco-based P. Jordon Construction is listed as the property owner, filing through Mills Grove LLC.
New affordable housing has officially opened at 2121 Wood Street in West Oakland, Alameda County. The project team and local politicians gathered for a ceremonial ribbon-cutting event at Prescott Station, a six-story apartment complex with over two hundred units and commercial retail space overlooking the Oakland Ballers ballpark. Turner Impact Capital was the project developer.
SteelWave has proposed a 144,500 square foot development on the Alameda-Oakland Estuary waterfront to be used for laboratory and life sciences. The project is located on the old Alameda Shipways site that has sat vacant for years. The plan replaces a previous residential project proposed by SteelWave in 2018 on the same site. The new project will be designed by MBH Architects.
City staff have published the notice of exemption from CEQA for 700 Indiana Street in Dogpatch, San Francisco. This comes after the city rejected an attempted appeal last year that had attempted to require the project to undergo the intensive environmental review process. Dewey Land Company and MBC BioLabs are responsible for the application.
