Phase One of Treasure Island Redevelopment Opens, San Francisco

The first phase of the transformative Treasure Island redevelopment has officially finished with the opening of 490 Avenue of the Palms. The six-story apartment complex has added 148 condominiums to San Francisco’s rapidly changing man-made island in the heart of the bay. The project has been co-developed by the Treasure Island Development Group, a partnership with Lennar Corporation, Stockbridge Capital Group, and Wilson Meany.

GoPro’s San Mateo Headquarters to Go Residential in a New Redevelopment Deal

The Clearview Business Park in San Mateo was recently acquired by Harvest Properties in partnership with Stockbridge. The site, located at 3000–3155 Clearview Way, currently serves as business offices for multiple organizations, including the well-known camera company GoPro. Preliminary intentions for the site are to demolish the existing office buildings and construct up to 225 townhomes, bringing new housing to the area.

YIMBY Tours Isle House Apartments on Treasure Island, San Francisco

Late last month, YIMBY was invited to tour Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island in San Francisco. Construction is pushing ahead on the first of several phases that will transform the two islands into a mixed-use neighborhood with roughly eight thousand apartments, retail, and public parks, and among the latest buildings to open includes the 22-story Isle House designed by David Baker Architects.
