Planning approval has been upheld for a seven-story apartment complex at 940 Willow Street in San Jose’s Willow Glen neighborhood. Earlier this week, the San Jose Planning Commission rejected an appeal of the approved Builder’s Remedy-assisted development, which seeks to add 126 apartments near the intersection of Willow Street and Lincoln Avenue. Redco Development is responsible for the application.
Plans for a new seven-story apartment complex at 940 Willow Street are scheduled to be reviewed tomorrow morning during the San Jose Planning Director’s Hearing. The project is expected to add over a hundred units to the historic downtown of the Willow Glen neighborhood. Redco Development, based in San Francisco, is the project sponsor.
A new affordable housing project could bring 90 units to the Willow Glen area of San Jose. Developers recently purchased multiple parcels at 520 and 544 West Alma Avenue, including the closed-down Agave Sports Bar. Plans filed by Resources for Community Development include outlines for site demolition and the construct of a new affordable building.
An office building in the Willow Glenn area of San Jose has closed and is slated for redevelopment as an inpatient care facility. The LGTC Group filed for a conditional use permit at the site, allowing them to operate a 24-hour residential care facility serving up to 48 patients. The new facility will combine the existing 7,369-square-foot office building and a 2,548 nearby garage.
