Kaiser Permanente has sold the 21-story office tower at 1950 Franklin Street and an associated parking garage in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. The complex is now owned by Behring Companies, a residential developer responsible for opening a 39-story residential tower at 1900 Broadway. The new commercial real estate will be integrated into the new owner’s Stak Site network for customers in the city.
Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a new residential project proposed for development at 7087 Westmoorland Drive in Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of two new three-story single-family residences. Ilkhani Samen is listed as the project owner. Warren Design Inc is the project applicant and is responsible for the designs.
Preliminary permits have been filed to construct a new structure within the Seneca Family of Agencies medical center at 8945 Golf Links Road, Oakland. The added facility will provide bedrooms for the Children’s Crisis Residential Program run by the non-profit. Ratcliff Architects is responsible for the design, though plans have not been shared.
Phase one of construction has topped out for Phoenix in West Oakland, Alameda County. Crews are currently working on a four-story supportive housing project with a hundred affordable apartments overlooking Interstate 880. Allied Housing and East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation are jointly developing the project.
