The CIM Group has submitted pre-application documents for a new 46-story residential tower at 325 22nd Street, named Town Tower, in Downtown Oakland. If built today, the project would be the tallest addition to the Alameda County skyline, rising 487 feet tall, well above the current 404-foot Ordway Building. The new plans are a shift away from 2017-era plans by CIM for an office tower at the same location.
Project plans for a life science campus have been approved for development at 100 East Grand Avenue in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The project proposal includes the development of two ten-story buildings offering spaces for research and development. The campus will replace a series of commercial structures on the site. Alexandria Real Estate Equities is the project applicant. ZGF Architects is the designer.
New plans have been drafted for a 453-unit residential development in the city of American Canyon in Napa County. The project, addressed as 1000 Reliant Way, would build on just over 15 acres of vacant land, creating an enclave with landscaping and shared amenities. San Francisco-based Republic Metropolitan is the project developer.
The BART Board of Directors has voted to approve plans for the Lake Merritt Transit-Oriented Development in Downtown Oakland. The approval is a significant step towards reshaping two low-rise lots with two towers and two mid-density buildings containing affordable and market-rate housing and offices. The Board President, Rebecca Saltzman, says construction will start in 2024.
Updated plans will be reviewed tomorrow by the Burlingame Planning Commission for an expansive new life sciences campus at 1200-1340 Bayshore Highway along the San Mateo County bayside coast. The project would replace 12 acres with over 1.5 million square feet across three 11-story buildings. DivcoWest is the project developer.
