Development plans have been in the works to convert an existing four-story parking garage into housing at 55 Francisco Street in North Beach, San Francisco. Now, updated elevations give insight to the mid-density plans, still below the profile of the neighboring office block. Atlanta-based Jamestown LP is responsible for the project.
Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a residential project proposed at 305 Bradford Street in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the development of a three-story residence with an additional Accessory Dwelling Unit. Jarboe & Bradford LLC is the property owner. McMahon Architects + Studio is responsible for the design concepts. Yuflux Engineering is also on the design and construction team.
The San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans for a five-story residential infill nearby BART in Balboa Park, San Francisco. The project makes use of the State Density Bonus program to propose 35 new units with some affordable housing. City staff has recommended the commission approve the application with conditions.
Permits have been filed for the renovation of a property located at 4200 23rd Street in Noe Valley, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the development of the renovation of an exisiting single-family residence at the rear of the site and new construction of a two-unit structure at the front of the site. Leavitt Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
Since our last coverage, several important milestones have been achieved for the American Buddhist Cultural Society’s proposal to replace the San Bao Temple at 1750 Van Ness Avenue in Nob Hill, San Francisco. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill has tweaked the design, San Francisco’s planning commission approved the Conditional Use Authorization in September, and the building permits were filed in November.
