The City of South San Francisco has published a notice of preparation of the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the rest of the Terminal Court research campus in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The project will reshape the former Golden Gate Produce terminal next to U.S. 101 and near the San Bruno BART Station. Steelwave is the project developer.
Less than a month after increased plans surfaced, recent permit activity shows minor adjustments for the eight-story apartment proposed for 842 California Street, San Francisco. The development now aims to create an additional dwelling unit for a total of 31 new homes in Nob Hill. Acme Development is the project sponsor.
A new funding milestone has been announced for Freedom West 2.0, a master plan to right the wrongs of 20th-century urban redevelopment in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. The $27 million secured to date comes a month after a new state bill has created a new pathway to finance the project. The development team includes MacFarlane Partners and Avanath Capital Management.
A project review meeting has been scheduled for a 1 West Orange Avenue in South San Francisco. The project proposal includes the construction of a new aquatic center at Orange Memorial Park. An existing aquatic center is slated for demolition under the same permit. ELS Architecture & Design LLC is responsible for the designs. BFK Engineers is the civil engineer on the project. SWA is responsible for the landscape design.
The California Transportation Commission has approved the CEQA environmental review of the 2.2-mile extension of The Portal, San Francisco’s Downtown Rail Extension. The Portal will connect the city’s existing 4th Street Train Station to the Salesforce Transit Center. Once complete, the connection will accommodate Caltrain and future high-speed rail.
