The Palo Alto Planning & Transportation Commission is scheduled to review plans tonight for a three-story townhome-style proposal at 70 Encina Avenue beside the Town & Country Village shopping center in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. New illustrations show an updated design for the project. Edward Storm of Storm Land Company is responsible for the project as property owner.
Updated plans have shifted a potential apartment complex from predominately market-rate to fully affordable housing at 860 West San Carlos Street in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The updated plans include a slight unit increase compared to the prior 12-story application. The project is a joint venture by Swenson and Republic Urban Properties.
The formal application has been filed for the Creekside Hotel and Residences at 3400 El Camino Real in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The filing comes less than six months after the builder’s remedy-assisted preliminary application was submitted, following state law to streamline the approval process for projects with a certain amount of affordable housing. Oxford Capital is the project applicant.
Formal permits have been submitted for Encore Estates, the builder’s remedy-assisted plans to add hundreds of homes and an 81-room hotel at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Santa Clara County. Alongside new housing, the project will add a clubhouse, gatehouse, and additional parking to the historic winery and concert venue. William Hirschman of Lexor Builders is responsible for the application.
Westbank has submitted updated plans to pivot from offices to housing to replace the Charles Davidson Building at 255 West Julian Street in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project was one of several high-profile projects within the Westbank masterplan developed in collaboration with Urban Community. This shift marks the fourth iteration for the vacant freeway-side parcel and the second time Urban Community proposed housing.
