The 412-unit building is within walking distance of Caltrain’s Lawrence Station, connecting riders from San Francisco through San Jose, as far south as Gilroy. Olympic Residential Group is responsible for the master plan, with design by Studio T Square.
Sand Hill Property Company has released detailed renderings for the approved 50-acre redevelopment of Vallco Mall in Cupertino, Santa Clara County. Located across the I-280 freeway from Apple Park, ‘The Rise’ will offer a more public mixed-use site with open space, shops, offices, and over two thousand homes. The futuristic proposal features design by the internationally acclaimed Rafael Viñoly Architects.
New plans have been submitted for added single-story commercial structures at 180 El Camino Real, part of the Stanford Shopping Center of Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The project posits a small expansion, and reinvestment into the mall’s existing model, all while several others across the Bay Area have invested significant resources to developing mixed-use centers. Simon Properties is the project developer.
New plans have been filed to replace the western portion of the Fremont Corner shopping center with townhomes and a new shop at 102 East Fremont Avenue in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County. The True Life Companies is the project applicant, and Fremont Corners Inc is the property owner. The project will complement the same team’s plans for new townhomes at 166 East Fremont Street, representing a realignment of priorities for residential construction.
Approved funding has been secured by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors for the construction of 231 Grant Avenue, Palo Alto. Once finished in 2024, the project will offer housing for over a hundred teachers to work in San Mateo County and Santa Clara County. Mercy Housing and Abode Communities are responsible for the project.
