Plans have surfaced to convert a small residential property at 2401 16th Street in San Francisco’s Mission District neighborhood. The proposal would replace a vacant ground-floor restaurant space in the apartment complex with two additional residential units. Galway Properties II is responsible for the project as the owner.
Preliminary permits have been filed for a small residential conversion at 2615 Ashby Avenue in Elmwood, Berkeley. The proposal would remodel a medical office’s second floor into apartments, retaining the facility’s ground floor space. The property owner is listed as a Berkeley-based LLC.
A pre-application including several basic pieces of information was submitted for a property at 316 12th Street in Oakland. The planned project would keep the property exterior unchanged, while making interior modifications to the layout and building use. The main expected change from the renovations is the conversion of its existing office and retail space to nine additional housing units and residential support spaces.
Planning permits have been filed to convert an historic six-story commercial structure into housing at 901 Market Street in the Mid-Market neighborhood of San Francisco. The project would replace the upper retail and office spaces with 136 dwelling units, while retaining ground-floor shop space. Hudson Pacific Properties is responsible for the application.
A hearing is to be conducted later today by the Sausalito Zoning Administrator’s office to review the request for an extension on the permits for a development at 2015 Bridgeway, on Sausalito’s main commercial corridor. The project plans to convert an existing three-story office building into a multi-unit residential building. The process requires a full interior remodel and some external refinishing. After experiencing some delays, the property owner has appealed to the city for an extension of what may still be a viable and beneficial project.
