Zoning Meeting Scheduled for Conversion Project 1740 University Avenue in Berkeley

The City of Berkeley’s Zoning Adjustments Board will meet today to discus a proposed zoning change for a project at 1740 University Avenue in Berkeley. The project would convert an existing two story commercial space into 12 residential units. Three small retail spaces will remain at the street front of the property. The change from previously approved commercial usage to mixed residential is what will be discussed for zoning purposed.

Plans have surfaced for a potential office-to-housing conversion and expansion of a three-story office building at 2300 Stockton Street in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood. Initial documents show the applicant is looking to increase the floor count and bring new residences to the city’s popular tourism neighborhood. Thousand Architects is responsible for the plans.

GoPro’s San Mateo Headquarters to Go Residential in a New Redevelopment Deal

The Clearview Business Park in San Mateo was recently acquired by Harvest Properties in partnership with Stockbridge. The site, located at 3000–3155 Clearview Way, currently serves as business offices for multiple organizations, including the well-known camera company GoPro. Preliminary intentions for the site are to demolish the existing office buildings and construct up to 225 townhomes, bringing new housing to the area.
