$20M Funding Approved for Supportive Housing at 8471 Enterprise Way, Oakland

City of Oakland has partnered with developers to convert an existing motel to bring permanent housing units at 8471 Enterprise Way in Oakland. The project proposal includes the acquisition and rehabilitation efforts to convert an existing hotel to create 100+ permanent housing units. The City of Oakland has teamed up with California Supportive Housing and CSH Enterprise Housing LP. Concord-based Shelter, Inc.

Permits Issued for Supportive Housing at 4801 Coliseum Way in Oakland

Building permits have been issued facilitating the development of a supportive housing project proposed at 4801 Coliseum Way in Oakland. The project proposal includes the conversion of an existing motel to a supportive housing community with onsite services. Demolition work is required on the site which will be processed under separate permits. Danco Communities is the project applicant. Coliseum Motel LLC is the property owner. DG Group Architects is responsible for the designs.

Westbank Considers Converting Bank of Italy Tower to Housing

Westbank and Urban Community have submitted new plans to convert Downtown San Jose’s iconic Bank of Italy tower into housing. The adaptive reuse of the office tower would create well over a hundred apartments across most of the 13-story building. The filing comes as the region struggles with record-high office vacancy rates.
