City of Oakland has partnered with developers to convert an existing motel to bring permanent housing units at 8471 Enterprise Way in Oakland. The project proposal includes the acquisition and rehabilitation efforts to convert an existing hotel to create 100+ permanent housing units. The City of Oakland has teamed up with California Supportive Housing and CSH Enterprise Housing LP. Concord-based Shelter, Inc.
Project permits for the office-to-housing conversion of the 19-story Humboldt Bank Building along Market Street in San Francisco have been filed. The proposal will bring over a hundred homes to the 1907-built tower, where the narrow slab block makes it particularly well suited for apartments. Forge Development Partners is the developer.
Renovation has been proposed for an existing hotel at 8400 Edes Avenue in Coliseum Industrial, Oakland. The project proposal includes the renovation of a Radisson Hotel to offer affordable housing along with onsite supportive services and manager units. Oakland Alameda Hotels LLC is the property owner. Banta Design is responsible for the designs.

The project proposal includes the conversion of an existing motel to a supportive housing community with onsite services. Demolition work is required on the site which will be processed under separate permits. Danco Communities is the project applicant. Coliseum Motel LLC is the property owner. Westbank and Urban Community have submitted new plans to convert Downtown San Jose’s iconic Bank of Italy tower into housing. The adaptive reuse of the office tower would create well over a hundred apartments across most of the 13-story building. The filing comes as the region struggles with record-high office vacancy rates.
