Permits have been filed for a large multifamily project at 242 Hahn Street in Sunnydale, San Francisco. Plans for the site call for a 167-unit multifamily structure as part of the Sunnydale HOPE SF project, for the projected cost of $80 million. 242 Hahn will contribute to the 1,770 new apartments expected for the sprawling mid-density development.

Units will range in size from studios to three bedrooms, twenty percent of which will be set aside for people with developmental disabilities. Freebird Development company is responsible for the development.

Demolition of the existing single-family dwelling will make way for the four-story infill, matching the height of the building directly to its north. The project will provide six new apartments.
