It has been nine months since the President of Boston Properties, Douglas Linde, announced his intention to resume construction at Platform 16 in San Jose, Santa Clara County. Work has indeed started this year, and a live camera linked on the firm’s website shows excavation work is underway for the north building at 375 Autumn Parkway. Devcon is the building’s general contractor.
Recently adjusted plans have been filed for the massive office proposal at 725 Harrison Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The base proposal was already approved in 2019, and the new modifications slightly expand the office and industrial components. Boston Properties is responsible for the application.

The distinctive glass-wrapped tower has been designed by one of the preeminent architects in the world, Pelli Clarke Pelli. Unsurprisingly, it remains a divisive contribution to the San Francisco skyline.
Construction has topped out for the new R&D office building at 751 Gateway Boulevard in South San Francisco. The project has replaced a large surface parking lot in the city center, expanding the Gateway Campus owned by Alexandria Real Estate Equities and Boston Properties. The development is a joint venture between the two developers.
Douglas Linde, president of Boston Properties, BXP, announced yesterday on a phone call that the firm is actively considering resuming the construction of Platform 16 in 2022, an office development at 441 West Julian Street, San Jose. The announcement came just as SFYIMBY spotted crew activity on the construction site that has been stalled since March of 2020. Platform 16 is a joint development with BXP, TMG Partners, and Valley Oak Partners. BXP maintains a 55% ownership of the project.
