The project will demolish two single-story commercial buildings to add 210 apartments within walking distance of two BART Stations, with affordable housing thanks to the State Density Bonus program. Trachtenberg Architects is responsible for the design.
New plans have been submitted for a ten-story mixed-use development at 2900 Shattuck Avenue, corner location by BART’s Ashby Station in South Berkeley. The proposal will create around 221 new homes in the East Bay by transit and the famed Berkeley Bowl Marketplace. NX Ventures is sponsoring the development.
PGIM has filed a pre-application permit for a 25-story mixed-use tower at 2190 Shattuck Avenue in Downtown Berkeley. The filing comes as a modification to prior approved 18-story plans by Mill Creek Residential. PGIM hopes to benefit from Senate Bill 330, passed by the State to assist residential proposals. If the application is approved, 2190 Shattuck Avenue could create 326 new homes by BART and the UC Berkeley campus.
New renderings have been published for a six-story residential infill at 1201 San Pablo Avenue, bringing market-rate and affordable housing to a low-density neighborhood in Northwest Berkeley. The project will replace a vacant lot with 66 new homes. Lanhai Su of Jianyi Investment Development Inc., based in Santa Clara, is listed as the property owner.
Design review is pending for an approved residential project proposed at 1367 University Avenue in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story group living accommodation (GLA) operating as single-room occupancy (SRO) residential hotel on a vacant lot. Trachtenberg Architects is responsible for the design concepts.
