A pre-application has been filed for a 26-story residential tower at 1974 Shattuck Avenue. If approved, it would become the tallest building in Downtown Berkeley, and among the tallest residential buildings in Alameda County. The proposal aims to produce 297 new homes and a rooftop restaurant with views across the Bay Area. The application is led by NX Ventures, Rhoades Planning Group, and Trachtenberg Architects.

Expanded Plans Revealed for 3000 Shattuck Avenue, South Berkeley

Expanded permits have been filed for a nine-story residential infill at 3000 Shattuck Avenue in South Berkeley. The application marks a significant increase from plans filed by a different developer in 2017 for 23 co-living apartments. Now, NX Ventures has proposed building 156 new homes on the same corner lot, within walking distance from groceries, shops, AC Transit, and the Ashby BART Station.
