Recent permit activity has surfaced for the eight-story affordable housing project at 850 Turk Street in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. The filing indicates progress from the development team ahead of expected construction to start next year. MidPen Housing and Tishman Speyer were selected to be co-developers of the state-owned property made available through the California Surplus Land Act.
New building permits have been requested for the affordable educator housing project at 750 Golden Gate Avenue in the Fillmore District, San Francisco. Once issued, construction can start replacing formerly state-owned surface parking lots with an eight-story infill. MidPen Housing is the lead developer, working with consulting developer Tishman Speyer.
Details plans have been published for the first structure within the Freedom West 2.0 masterplan in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. The seven-story proposal will bring over a hundred units of affordable senior housing to the corner site at 880 McAllister Street. A new funding milestone has been announced for Freedom West 2.0, a master plan to right the wrongs of 20th-century urban redevelopment in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. The $27 million secured to date comes a month after a new state bill has created a new pathway to finance the project. The development team includes MacFarlane Partners and Avanath Capital Management.
