The City of San Mateo is working with MidPen Housing to bring new housing and a large garage to two downtown parcels, 480 East 4th Avenue and 400 East 5th Avenue. The San Mateo County proposal will bring 225 new units at Kiku Crossing and parking for nearly seven hundred vehicles, despite being near mass transit. MidPen Housing is the property owner.

The development will create office space and five new homes as part of the developer’s extensive plans east of the San Mateo train tracks.
The City of San Mateo Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans for the residential development of 1919 O’Farrell Street in Beresford Park, San Mateo County. City staff has recommended that the commission approve the project applications and pave the way for a speedy construction process with dozens of residential units with some affordable housing. Renderings have been revealed for a mixed-use five-story building at 500 East 3rd Avenue, San Mateo, San Mateo County. The structure will demolition existing structures on the block, Block 21, to add four office floors topped by dwelling units.
