New plans have been filed for the eight-story apartment complex at 40 Airport Boulevard in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The latest approval reduces the overall capacity by one unit since our last coverage, now looking to add 291 units to an irregularly-shaped lot. Blake Griggs Properties is responsible for the application.
Last week the new development project at 1027-1035 El Camino Real in Sunnyvale held a groundbreaking ceremony, with construction beginning soon after. Developer PMB partnered with El Camino Health in the proposal of the new mixed used development, including a 4-story convalescent hospital and an adjacent 6-story senior housing facility. Designs were provided by Material Design Architects and WATG architecture firms.
Recent permit activity has been spotted regarding a much-delayed proposal for 655 Folsom Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The application was initially filed in 2013 to replace the two-story Canton Dim Sum House restaurant with a 14-story apartment complex. The structure has remained six years after the previously announced 2019 groundbreaking by developer Pillar Capital Group.
Formal planning applications have been submitted for a five-story residential infill at 2910 Ramona Avenue in Sacramento. The filing comes a few months after the preliminary filing, which intends to add nearly two hundred units to a vacant triangular parcel close to the CSU Sacramento campus. Tarik Taeha is listed as the project owner and developer.
The proposed development at 1197 Lick Avenue in San Jose is to be altered, reducing the overall number of units but increasing the number of affordable units available within the project. The project is located on a three-building site, and is part of the Tamien Station Transit-oriented Development Plan. Developers, The Core Cos. and Republic Urban Properties have worked with Studio T-Square architects to put forth the revised plan.
