Development permits have been submitted seeking the approval of constructing four single-family houses on project lots at 1230-1240 Twin Peaks Boulevard in Midtown Terrace, San Francisco. Permits have been filed separately for four houses. The project proposes to erect four Type V-A four-story residence with one basement. Three of the houses will have ADU units.
Kotas Pantaleoni Architects is managing the planning, design concept and construction of the project. Twin Peaks Boulevard is the applicant and property owner.

Construction has recently finished for a new Moxy Hotel at 2225 Telegraph Avenue in Downtown Oakland. Once open, the seven-story building will yield 72,615 square feet with 173 guest rooms and retail for the downtown Oakland market. Graves Hospitality is the project developer along with EJF Capital and Tidewater Capital.

Residential High-Rise Planned At 3403 Piedmont Avenue In Oakland

Oakland-based oWow Design filed for development permits seeking the approval of constructing a new eight-story residential building at 3403 Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. The project proposes the demolition of a small office building and the construction of 76 units. Named Sawmill Residences, the project will offer onsite affordable units and Density Bonus provisions. oWow Design LLC is managing the design concepts and construction. 3400 Broadway LLC is listed as the property owner and developer.

New building permits have been filed for a three-story single-family house at 64 Santa Rita Avenue, located in Forest Hill, just east of the Sunset District in San Francisco. The development will maintain the neighborhood’s sprawling low density. William Duff Architects is responsible for the design.

Construction has topped out for the MacFarlane Building at 2111 University Avenue, one of four residential structures rising at the Modera Acheson Commons project in Downtown Berkeley. Each structure makes adaptive reuse of low-rise commercial sites to add 205 new apartments to the Berkeley housing market. Mill Creek Residential is sponsoring as the project applicant after acquiring the site from Equity Residential in 2016.

Demolition Permits Filed for 600 South 1st Street, Downtown San Jose

Demolition permits have been filed for 618 South 1st Street, one of three properties merged in the 252-foot proposed tower at 600 South 1st Street in Downtown San Jose’s southeast corner. The development was first introduced in 2018 and approved by the city council in November of 2019. Amendment permits filed in June of 2020 seek to expand the number of apartments. KT Urban is the project developer, with Scape as owner since March of 2020 for $16.5 million.

The proposal will replace a car dealership with 199 new rental apartments for the Oakland housing market, of which 16 will be low-income housing. The Martin Group is responsible for the project as applicant and property owner.
