Residential Project Approved For Stuart Street, Lafayette, Contra Costa County

The City Council approved a townhouse project in downtown Lafayette, Contra Costa County. The project proposal includes the construction of a residential development offering twelve townhomes on Stuart Street. The project was approved despite objections raised by the nearby school and some residents, stating that it could generate too much traffic and put the safety of children at risk. Alameda-based Bay Area Urban Development is the project developer. Studio FCF is managing the design concepts and construction.

An application has been filed for a new duplex at 3950 Broadway, located in Southeastern Sacramento’s Oak Park neighborhood. The project would fill in a long-vacant parcel across from a bus stop. Emerald Properties Inc. is responsible for the development as the property owner.

Facade Tops Out, Interiors Underway for 277 27th Street, Northgate-Waverly, Oakland

Since SFYIMBY’s last site visit in late January, facade installation has topped out with interior work underway on 277 27th Street in Northgate-Waverly, just north of downtown Oakland. Referred to as 24th and Harrison, the apartment building will bring 405 apartments and 65,000 square feet of ground-level retail. Holland Partner Group is responsible for the development.

New illustrations have been published with revised plans for an additional home at 1651 Treat Avenue in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. The detached structure would be built on an undeveloped portion of the parcel facing Ripley Street. San Francisco-based Ross Levy of Levy Art and Architecture is listed as the property owner and managing the design.

Number 22: One Sansome Street, Financial District, San Francisco

One Sansome Street ranks as the 22nd tallest skyscraper in the Bay Area, planned or built. With a rooftop height 551 feet above street level, the structure is host to over half a million square feet of office space available in the Financial District since it opened in 1984. William L. Pereira & Associates, best remembered for designing the Transamerica Pyramid, was the architecture firm behind One Sansome.

Development Progress for 1111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Potrero Hill, San Francisco

The environmental review documents have been published with good news for the construction of a research facility at 1111 Pennsylvania Street by the southern edge of Potrero Hill, San Francisco. The review declared that the project would not have a significant effect on the environment. The four-story structure would replace a surface parking lot currently occupied by portable shipping containers. Buddha Properties is listed as the property owner.

Harbor Custom Development Inc has announced that they are purchasing the property at 1705 I Street, including plans for an eight-story mixed-use building in Midtown Sacramento. The project is entitled, with permits first filed in April of 2020 and approved in December. The Harbor announced they hope to build 208 new condominiums to be sold for under $400,000 each for first-time home buyers.
