Plans are under review tonight for a six-story apartment infill at 2094 Mount Diablo Boulevard in Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County. The Walnut Creek Design Review Commission will discuss the plans to replace the Dutch Girl Cleaners and surface parking with 74 apartments. More documents, including a design review and notice of exemption, have been filed with CEQA on behalf of a project located at 2433 Mariner Square Drive in Alameda. Previously reported on by SF YIMBY in 2024, the project is being brought by The Martin Group with plans to transform the West Alameda parcel. The current commercial area would be replaced by high-rise residential with views of downtown Oakland, the Port of Oakland, and across the San Francisco Bay.
