Preliminary permits have been filed for a small residential infill project to rise at 230 Anza Street in San Francisco’s Lone Mountain neighborhood. The proposal aims to replace a currently vacant house with a three-unit infill. Oakland-based Ivyhills LLC is listed as the project sponsor.
Permits have been filed for a potential new skyscraper to replace the existing Golden Gate University campus at 536 Mission Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The plans consider two variants for the site, building either a 698-foot-tall mixed-use tower or a 752-foot-tall office tower. If built today, the project could become the fifth or sixth-tallest building in the Bay Area. Lincoln Property Company and McCourt Partners are jointly responsible for the application.
Adeline Alliance Team has been selected to redevelop the Ashby BART Station in the south of Berkeley, Alameda County. The successful vision proposes a densely packed mixed-use hub that ties together community needs and residential services below hundreds of apartments. The project is currently in its preliminary stages as the team and city enter an exclusive negotiation agreement.
The Berkeley City Council has rejected an attempt to landmark a 139-year-old building that is expected to be replaced by a 20-story apartment tower in Southside, Berkeley. The Laura Tull property was built in 1886 at 2421 Durant Avenue, and is one of only a few remaining examples of Stick style architecture in the UC Berkeley campus area. Future plans for the site are expected to provide 169 apartments, including 19 units of replacement affordable housing. Qian Wang of Collabhome is the project developer.
Detailed plans have emerged for the potential redevelopment of an entire city block in the heart of San Francisco. The plans include renovations of several historic buildings along Market Street, as well as potential housing or hotel rooms at the former PG&E/Matson Block. However, the most ambitious component of the proposal is the demolition of the existing 34-story office tower at 77 Beale Street, to be replaced by the tallest building in California.
