Zoning permits have been filed for a five-story affordable infill at 472 West MacArthur Boulevard in Mosswood, Oakland. The development will bring 80 apartments of permanent supportive housing for seniors. Irvine-based Domus Development is the project sponsor.
New renderings have been revealed for an affordable senior housing development at 2500 76th Avenue in Eastmont, Oakland. The proposal will bring nearly a hundred units to the vacant lot along Bancroft, four blocks from Eastmont Town Center. The five-story plan is a joint venture with Black Cultural Zone Community Development Corporation and Eden Housing.
Satellite Affordable Housing Associates is moving forward with a new CEQA notice of exemption for the demolition of three vacant buildings and the construction of a 59-unit apartment building. The project, located at 6375 Thornton Avenue in Newark, will be 100% affordable housing, with a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom units.
The City of West Sacramento has filed a CEQA Notice of Exemption for a 0.5-acre urban infill project. The project, brought by Operative Office architecture firm, will be a four-story, 37-unit affordable housing complex. Because of the project’s size, location, and classification, it is exempt from the state CEQA guidelines.
The City of Menlo Park has opened up applications for the development of three large parking plazas in Downtown Menlo Park. The city plans to build a minimum of 345 units of affordable housing spread across the three sites but has not restricted the addition of more units. The program plans to integrate affordable housing options into the high-resource downtown area.
