Preliminary plans were published late last week for a potential redevelopment of the Hillsdale indoor mall in San Mateo, San Mateo County. Initial details include the demolition of nearly three-quarters of the shopping center’s facilities, leaving just the North Block untouched as the remaining acres are transformed into housing, retail, and multi-level garages. Sares Regis Group is responsible for the application.
Development permits have been filed for a new affordable housing project proposed on a site located toward the northwest side of Senter Road between Keyes Street and East Alma Avenue in San Jose. The project proposal includes the subdivision of the project site into 47 lots to construct 44 residential lots and three common lots. Affordable Housing Land Consultant LLC is listed as the project applicant and owner.
The Marin County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to review plans today and approve reduced plans for 825 Drake Avenue in Marin City. The project was approved with 74 units in 2020 but has remained on hold ever since. This latest proposal now seeks to construct 42 units at Drake Avenue, while secondary plans are being championed to build the remaining 32 units in unincorporated Mill Valley. The Pacific Companies is responsible for the application.
Permits have been issued to construct a new mixed-use residential project approved for development at 620 15th Street in Sacramento. The project proposal includes the development of a new three-story mixed-use building offering retail and residential spaces. Urban Capital LLC is the project applicant. Williams + Paddon is responsible for the designs.
The Lafayette City Council is scheduled to review plans this Monday to consider selling the city-owned land at 949 Moraga Road in Lafayette, Contra Costa County. The council will consider plans to allow developers to replace the parking lot with affordable housing. Satellite Affordable Housing Associates and Sunflower Hill are responsible for the proposal.
