A few weeks ago, YIMBY visited Bishop Ranch in San Ramon to learn more about plans to build thousands of new homes in the business park. The 2020-approved project has been revised to include an additional 2,6000 units on top of the former Chevron headquarters, with plans to modernize their remaining office space with added flexibility to attract and retain tenants. During our visit, YIMBY got to talk with Alex Mehran Jr, president and chief executive officer of Sunset Development Company.

Affordable Housing Approved For One Hamilton Drive, Mill Valley, Marin County

A new affordable housing infill project has been approved for development at One Hamilton Drive in Mill ValleyMarin County. The project proposal includes the development of affordable multi-family rental housing. The City of Mill Valley is the property owner, and EAH Housing is the project developer and future housing manager. Van Meter Williams Pollack is the project architect. Merrill Morris Partners is responsible for landscape architecture. Adobe Associates is the civil engineer.

Affordable Housing Proposed at 1315 31st Avenue in Fruitvale, Oakland

A new affordable residential project has been proposed for development at 1315 31st Avenue in Fruitvale, Oakland. The project proposal includes the construction of 100% affordable housing on a site that was home to Ghost Ship, a warehouse that caught fire in 2016. Demolition of existing structures is proposed under a separate permit. 3073 International LLC is listed as the owner. Mithun is responsible for the designs.
