Concrete has topped out for a new affordable housing project at 681 Florida Street, located in San Francisco’s Mission District. The nine-story project, named Casa Adelante, has replaced low-slung commercial structures with 130 new homes. The Mission Economic Development Agency and Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation are joint developers.

The development will replace a single-story commercial structure and surface parking along the Peninsula’s commercial artery, close to the California Avenue Caltrain station, with 129 new homes. Charities Housing is the project owner, operating through El Camino PA LP.
Development permits have been filed for a new affordable housing project at 4995 Stockton Boulevard in Colonial Heights, Sacramento. The project proposal includes the development of affordable residential units built in 21 four-story buildings, seven three-story buildings, and 13 triplex buildings. Plans call for the demolition of an existing building on the site. Mercy Housing is the project developer.
