Permits Issued for 389 Ninth Avenue in Brooklyn Basin, Oakland

The Planning Commission has issued new building permits for 389 Ninth Avenue in Oakland’s waterfront development, Brooklyn Basin. The six-story building, also called Parcel A2, or Foon Lok East, will contribute 124 affordable housing units to the 3,700-unit masterplan. MidPen Housing Corporation is the building developer, with Signature Development Group responsible for the master plan.

Permit Progress on Transbay Block 4 Tower at 200 Main Street, SoMa, San Francisco

New permit activity shows plans are moving ahead for the 47-story skyscraper at Transbay Block 4 in SoMa, San Francisco. Representatives for the property owner, Hines, have recently filed an amendment request to increase the lot’s height limit from 450 feet to 513 feet. The building would create hundreds of below-market-rate units, apartments, condos, and townhomes overlooking the proposed Transbay Park.

Largest Affordable Housing Project Planned At 805 R Street In Sacramento

A new residential project has been proposed at 805 R Street in Downtown Sacramento. The project proposal includes the development of a six-seven-story high buildings offering affordable residential units. Plans call for the demolition of the existing warehouse on the site. Mutual Housing California and the Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA) are teaming up for the project. Salazar Architects is responsible for the design concepts.
