Planning Director’s Hearing Tomorrow For 1207 North Capitol Avenue, San Jose

Plans for an affordable housing development at 1207 North Capitol Avenue are scheduled to be reviewed during a public meeting tomorrow morning. The San Jose Planning Director’s Hearing is expected to vote on the five-story development with over a hundred units in the city’s Cherrywood neighborhood. Danco Group is the project sponsor, having purchased the property in 2024 for $10.5 million.

A new Seven Story residential development is currently proposed at 3606 El Camino Real in Palo Alto. The project is brought by Sares Regis Group with plans to provide a combination of affordable and market rate units to the site. A meeting of Palo Alto’s Architectural Review Board will discuss the project tomorrow at 8:30am to determine if the project moves forward.

However, the current site of 430 Broadway in Oakland’s Jack London neighborhood has remained unused during the planning and preparation of the project. A new zoning worksheet filed with the City of Oakland would allow the demolition of some existing structures and the placement of interim site improvements.
