Potrero Power Station Development Breaks Ground in Dogpatch, San Francisco

Construction has officially started on the Potrero Power Station development in Dogpatch, San Francisco, following yesterday’s groundbreaking ceremony. With Mayor London Breed in attendance, the event marks the beginning of a 29-acre redevelopment that will open up a portion of the city’s eastern waterfront to the public with 5.3 million square feet of offices, housing, and retail around public parks and transit featuring designs by Foster + Partners and Herzog & de Meuron. California Barrel Company of Associate Capital is responsible for the development.

Renderings Revealed for 1200 Van Ness Avenue by Woods Bagot, Polk Gulch, San Francisco

Updated renderings have been published for the Woods Bagot-designed mixed-use building at 1200 Van Ness Avenue in Polk Gulch, San Francisco. The 13-story proposal will include a medical clinic, a grocery store, and 95 new apartments for ownership. The project is being developed by Derrick Chang, a long-time city resident who has since 1997 been the property owner.

Affordable Housing Breaks Ground At 36 Amber Drive, Diamond Heights, San Francisco

Celebrating with her city, Mayor London Breed announced the recent news of groundbreaking for an affordable housing project at 36 Amber Drive in Diamond Heights, San Francisco. The project will offer eight dwellings, available for purchase for low- to moderate-income families. The project is the first City-sponsored affordable housing partnership with Habitat for Humanity. The Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) is the project developer. Kerman Morris Architects is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

Pre-Application Filed for 2305 Webster Street, Northgate-Waverly, Oakland

New pre-application permits were filed for the entitled project at 2305 Webster Street in the Northgate-Waverly neighborhood between 23rd and 24th Street abutting Downtown Oakland. The recent application is larger than a previous iteration as it includes affordable housing thanks to the State Density bonus program. Avi Nevo of Segula Investments is responsible for the development, with San Francisco-based Ankrom Moisan Architects responsible for the design.
