New aerial renderings have been published alongside a development agreement for the proposed Stonestown Mall redevelopment in San Francisco. Brookfield Properties is responsible for the application, which would replace the surface parking surrounding the shopping center into a relatively dense mixed-use neighborhood. The project will be reviewed by the city’s Planning Commission tomorrow.
Formal permits have been filed for the affordable housing project at 2455 Church Street in East Oakland, Alameda County. The developer aims to renovate existing structures and construct a new six-story infill to bring over a hundred homes to the small parcel. The Oakland Unified School District is the property owner.
Formal permits have been filed for a five-story affordable housing complex at 4655 Steele Street in Redwood Heights, Oakland. The project will replace a closed facility owned by the Oakland Unified School District and next to a Montessori charter school.
The State of California has helped secure new funds for 1515 South Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco’s Mission District. The Department of Housing and Community Development has awarded $37.9 million towards a 168-unit affordable housing proposal for the vacated site. Chinatown Community Development Center and the Mission Economic Development Agency are jointly responsible for the project.
Detailed plans have been shared for proposed affordable housing at 3333 Mission Street in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood. The project will replace a parking garage with 70 units of new senior housing along the busy thoroughfare. Bernal Heights Housing Corporation is the project developer.
