Satellite Affordable Housing Associates have submitted an enhanced preliminary permit for new affordable senior housing at 501 Almaden Avenue in Downtown San Jose. The application comes as Branagh Construction is two floors from topping out Arya at 500 Almaden Boulevard, an adjacent eight-story property developed by SAHA.
Plans to build new affordable housing are moving through the California Environmental Quality Act review process for 440-490 Arden Way in Old North Sacramento. The proposal has received the Notice of Exemption after an environmental review. The proposal, by BRIDGE Housing Corporation, will replace a vacated armory building with 124 new units of affordable units, including permanent supportive housing.
Development permits have been submitted seeking the approval of a residential project at 335 3rd Street in Jack London District, Oakland. The project proposal includes a Tentative Parcel Map to allow new condominiums for a proposed 8-story multi-family development on the site. RAD Urban is responsible for the development.
New renderings have been revealed for 685 9th Street, a residential infill with some affordable housing in Downtown Oakland. The project will create 117 new homes along with a public mural installation. Levy Design Partners is the project architect, and Riaz Capital is the owner.
Construction is expected to begin in April on affordable housing at 78 Haight Street in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. The General Plan Referral, filed with the city this week, explains that the start date is imposed by the project’s construction financing package. The project, dubbed Parcel U, has been in the works since 2019 by the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation.
