Development plans are under review for a mixed-use Google Middlefield Park master plan in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. Google’s proposal brings up to 1,950 apartments, retail, 10.5 acres of parkland, and over a million square feet of offices with transit-oriented planning. The development possible after the city adopted its East Whisman Precise Plan in 2019. Google is working with Lendlease to develop the project and is expecting completion as late as 2040.
The existing structures at 1101 and 1123 Sutter Street are heading to the Historic Preservation Commission of San Francisco in the shadow of a proposed residential tower. The developers hope to bring 201 new apartments to Polk Gulch with a rehabilitated historic building and a new attractive tower, of which forty will be sold below market rate. Martin Building is listed as responsible for the development through 1101 Sutter Affordable LP.
Permits were filed to rezone and demolition three existing commercial structures at 4300 Stevens Creek Boulevard in the West Valley neighborhood of San Jose. The project proposed to add four buildings, three of which contain 637 apartments, of which 230 will be affordable. Development permits have been filed and approved for a six-story residential development at 2116 Brush Street in Ralph Bunche, West Oakland. The project will transform a currently vacant parcel on Downtown Oakland’s border and just under fifteen minutes walk from the 19th Street Oakland BART station. Oak Brook Partners is responsible for the development, dubbed Villa Oakland.
