The site had preliminary permits filed earlier this year, outlining plans for a new seven-story senior living and residential care facility on the site. As of July of this year, the project was being developed by Ellis Partners and Spirit Living Group, but the overall property owner is listed as the American National Red Cross.

Crews have brought together the steel and mass-timber frame that form two three-story office buildings designed by the New York-based SHoP Architects. San Francisco-based Ellis Partners is the development manager.

The proposal is a roughly 9-story reduction from the initial office plans for the central location, reflecting the cooling climate for office space in the Bay Area. Ellis Partners is responsible for the application.

Excavation work is wrapping up for the first phase of the new Youtube Headquarters in San Bruno, San Mateo County. A corner facade mock-up has been delivered on-site, showing off the SHoP Architects-designed black integrated metal louver system that will wrap around the mass-timber framework in the new offices. San Francisco-based Ellis Partners is the development manager.

New renderings have been revealed for the 26-story office tower at 1919 Webster Street in Downtown Oakland. The new design by Gensler contrasts a dark blue curtain wall skin with black metal mullions, with corner terraces offering an open space for future employees with panoramic views south of the city and Lake Merritt. Ellis Partners is responsible for the development as the property owner.

SHoP Architects-designed YouTube HQ Expansion Approved by San Bruno City Council

The San Bruno City Council has approved plans for Google to expand YouTube’s headquarters with over two million square feet of office space, potential housing, shops, and a hotel as part of the Bayhill Specific Plan. The project will extend across five separate phases. Phase one starts with SHoP Architects-designed offices at 1300 Bayhill Drive and 1350 Grundy Lane, San Bruno, San Mateo County. The nearly half a million square foot phase. HLW is the architect of record.
