Sunset Photos Document Progress of Oakland’s Waterfront Development, Brooklyn Basin

New aerial photographs show significant progress since April of this year for Brooklyn Basin, a mixed-use development reshaping a former industrial section of the Oakland waterfront. Six apartment building sites are in stages of development, varying from foundational work starting to residents already moved in. Oakland-based Signature Development Group is developing the project, with joint financing from Signature, Zarsion Holdings Group, and Reynolds & Brown.

3001 24th Street Opens in Mission District, San Francisco

Casa de la Mision has celebrated the grand opening in San Francisco’s Mission District neighborhood. Casa de la Mission is a five-story affordable housing development at 3001 24th Street. Now open, it has opened 44 new apartments intended to housing formerly-unhoused senior residents of the city. Each resident will be referred through the San Francisco Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing’s Coordinated Entry system.

Construction Underway for North Housing Development Plan Block A, 501 Mosley Avenue, Alameda

Entitlement permits have been filed for 501 Mosley Avenue Block A, the first of several structures proposed in the North Housing Development Plan in Alameda. Block A will add 155 new apartments to the Alameda County housing market across two structures. The development team consists of a partnership with Alameda Housing Authority, Alameda Point Collaborative, and Building Futures.

Updated Designs for Belmont Village Senior Housing at Bishop Ranch 1A, San Ramon

Plans are under review for a new senior housing project at Bishop Ranch 1A in San Ramon, Contra Costa County. The proposal is part of the much larger 4,500-unit CityWalk master plan, spearheaded by Sunset Development to create a new district in the city. This first portion will create 183 beds, offering assisted and independent living for seniors living in the Tri-Valley. The Texas-based Belmont Village Senior Housing company is sponsoring the development.
