Brookfield In The Early Stages of Planning 30-Acre Redevelopment at Stonestown Mall, San Francisco

Brookfield Properties has recently presented an updated pitch to the public about the redevelopment of the Stonestown Mall property, located south of the Sunset District and about as far from downtown San Francisco while still being in the city limits. The proposal calls for a mixed-use neighborhood-anchoring project that will make a significant contribution to addressing California’s housing crisis.

Final Steel Beam Installed On Top 415 Natoma street, plus New Renderings of 5M, SoMa, San Francisco

Brookfield Properties has officially marked the ceremonial topping out of 415 Natoma Street, the largest office building to do so in San Francisco this year. The 395-foot structure is the largest of six planned buildings in the mixed-use 5M Development in SoMa. Three buildings will be newly constructed, while the other three are adaptively reused historic renovations. Once complete, 5M will create 856 new homes, of which 245 will be affordable, 853,000 square feet of Class A office space, 49,000 square feet of new public open space, and an array of retail spots. Brookfield is developing the project in partnership with Hearst.

Permits Approved for Nine Buildings in Boulevard Development, Dublin, Alameda County

Permits have been approved for nine new multi-family apartment buildings. The applications will build 74 units in sum as part of the nearly two-thousand unit Boulevard Dublin development in Dublin, Alameda County. Boulevard is a joint project with Brookfield and Lennar. For the permits most recently approved, Lennar is responsible.

Permits have been issued for nine new residential buildings in Brookfield’s massive, nearly 2,000 unit development in Dublin, California. The nine buildings will be a part of the Mulholland enclave, with addresses from 5600-5623 Fallbrook Court. Mulholland is just one of twelve within the 189-acre Boulevard Dublin project.

5M Nears Topping Out in SoMa, San Francisco

Construction for the billion dollar 5M is progressing quickly, with the largest building already near topping out sixteen months after groundbreaking in SoMa, San Francisco. The project will produce six structures, three new, three historic restorations. This includes the former headquarters of the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper, owned by Brookfield Properties’ partner for the development, Hearst. The master plan is by SITELAB Urban Studio, guided by the stated mission to create a privately funded arts- and community-oriented mixed-use district. Recently captured pictures by SF YIMBY reveal how the project has progressed.

Permits Filed For 5728 Kemper Place In Boulevard, Dublin

Permits have been filed for a four-story residential structure at 5728 Kemper Place in the Hyde Park section of the Boulevard development, Dublin. The location is just a nine-minute walk away from the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station, which runs through San Francisco and Oakland. Dublin and Pleasanton are also invested in bus lines throughout their towns, giving transit options across the Tri-Valley. Brookfield Calwest Builders LLC is responsible for the development.
