Construction is moving ahead for Paseo, a mixed-use commercial building that replaced the former Camera 12 Theater at 201 South Second Street in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project has already announced three tenants, with 75,000 square feet of office space still available. The project is part of the Opportunity Zone Fund I by Urban Catalyst.
The Draft Environmental Impact Report has been published for Suzaco, a six-story commercial infill proposed across from City Hall and the new Miro towers in Downtown San Jose. The project will retain the historic facade at 142-150 East Santa Clara Street while constructing a four- to six-story mixed-use building on a U-shaped plot of land. Bayview Development Group is the project developer.
A recent site visit by YIMBY has shown that Adobe North Tower’s facade has been fully installed in a highly-visible location for pedestrians coming from Diridon Station or drivers along Highway 87. 333 West San Fernando Street is the newest tower in Adobe’s downtown San Jose campus. Gensler is the project architect.
Construction work is underway for Garden Gate Tower, a 23-story residential building in Downtown San Jose. The building is rising at 600 South First Street, located at the street’s intersection with East Reed Street and next to the I-280 Freeway. Scape, an international real estate firm with offices in Boston, is the project developer.
Branagh Construction has topped out for Arya, an eight-story residential infill at 500 Almaden Boulevard in Downtown San Jose. The project is being developed by Satellite Affordable Housing Associates, a non-profit organization based in Berkeley with projects across the Bay Area. The building is expected to add 87 homes for families and artists.
