Affirmed Housing Group and the city of San Jose celebrated the official opening of Vitalia, a new affordable housing complex at 3100 South Bascom Avenue. The project will bring 79 units, over half of which will be permanent supportive housing, in the southern San Jose neighborhood of Cambrian.
New permits have been filed to increase the potential townhome-style development of a vacant office block at 2107 North First Street in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project will now create just over a hundred condominiums, some of which will be affordable. Stanley Group is the project sponsor, filing through Bayshore Plaza LLC.
Jemcor Development Partners and Pacific Housing have partnered together to pursue a 300-unit affordable housing development at 950 West Julian Street in San Jose. The project aims to develop an acre-wide site with new homes close to SAP Center and Diridon Station. Late last week, the team reached a milestone after paying around $11.7 million for the site.
New project details have been revealed ahead of tomorrow’s meeting about expanding the Diridon Station in San Jose. The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority’s Diridon Joint Policy Advisory Board will review three design options to accommodate increased Caltrain services, integrate High-Speed Rail, and connect to the future BART extension. As expected for an infrastructure project in the Bay Area, the costs are astronomical, ranging from $2.5 billion to $13 billion.
Details plans have been published for a proposed residential development at 2222 Senter Road in southern San Jose, Santa Clara County. Using the Builder’s Remedy, the project will replace the former DMV Driver’s License Processing Center with three seven-story apartment complexes. Vicky Ching of HC Investment Associates LP is the property owner.
