San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Island, in the water halfway between the city and Oakland, is being redeveloped with over two hundred apartments. Commuters on the Bay Bridge will have already noticed The Bristol Residences, a newly-clad apartment complex facing the East Bay. Now, groundbreaking has occurred and construction is underway for the Townhomes and the Flats residences. San Francisco-based Stockbridge Capital Group and the developer Wilson Meany are jointly developing for the project. CAHill is responsible for construction.

San Jose Planning Department To Consider Appeal for 475 South 4th Street, Downtown Jose

The San Jose Planning Commission is scheduled to decide on an appeal later today of The Mark, a 23-story student-oriented project to be built at 475 South 4th Street in Downtown San Jose. The public teleconference meeting is scheduled to begin today, October 13th, at 6:30 PM. City staff has recommended the commission reject the appeal and approve the special use permits to commence construction. Westbank & Dillabough Buys Land Next to Proposed Arbor Offices, Downtown San Jose

Westbank and Gary Dillabough of Urban Community have purchased a vacant parcel expected to become housing at 201 West Julian Street in Downtown San Jose. The $11.4 million transaction adds to the development team’s impressive six-project roster for the city, including an office tower designed by Studio Gang at 255 West Julian Street. Given the development team’s other ambitious proposals, there is high anticipation about what they plan to do at 201 West Julian.
