Urban Catalyst has purchased the final parcel needed for the Icon/Echo master plan in Downtown San Jose. The sale comes just over a month after the developer revealed plans to change the office component to housing, increasing the potential housing capacity from a few hundred to over one thousand units. New renderings shared by Urban Catalyst provide a preliminary glimpse at the design.
The Sunnyvale Planning Commission has recommended approval for plans to replace surface parking next to a two-story office complex with housing at 1150 Kifer Road by Lawrence Station. The eight-story proposal will add over two hundred apartments to a growing hub in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara along Kifer Road and around the Lawrence Caltrain Station. Prometheus Real Estate Group is the project applicant.
Lenders have taken over property ownership of 500 Kirkham Street in West Oakland, Alameda County. Back in 2019, the city approved plans by Panoramic Interests for a mixed-use complex with 1,032 units plus retail across a 32-story tower and two mid-rises. However, the developer struggled to get financing for the project during the pandemic and defaulted on its $6.25 million loan for the city earlier this year.
Daly City has selected Eden Housing and The Core Companies to develop plans for a portion of the mixed-use neighborhood on the former Serramonte Del Rey school campus in Daly City, San Mateo County. The project will replace the 22-acre campus in the Jefferson Union High School District with over a thousand homes.
Crews are wrapping up construction for the six-story apartment complex at 1095 Rollins Road in Burlingame, San Mateo County. The infill has replaced a single-story restaurant overlooking Highway 101 with 150 apartments, including some affordable units. The Hanover Company is the project developer.
