Urban Catalyst has received a $10.5 million loan to finance the pre-construction phase of Icon/Echo, a two-tower proposal at 147 East Santa Clara Street directly across from City Hall in Downtown San Jose. The plans will bring hundreds of homes across two acres, with construction now expected to start in one to two years. Gantry is responsible for providing the finance.
Preliminary permits have been filed for a new six-story mixed-use development at 2154 MacArthur Boulevard in Oakland’s Dimond District. Initial plans show the project will expand a commercial structure and add 45 new homes on a surface parking lot. Dollinger Properties is the project sponsor.
The preliminary application has been filed for an eight-story apartment complex at 585 17th Street in Downtown Oakland. The plans will create nearly a hundred homes at the corner of 17th and Jefferson Street, two blocks away from Oakland City Hall. San Francisco-based DM Development is the developer.
Two new proposals have been submitted for housing at 875 Sansome Street in San Francisco. The different applications provide a case study of how state law has changed the development landscape in the city over the last four years since increasing the state density bonus and introducing Assembly Bill 1287. N17 Development filed both projects on behalf of the property owner, Allrise Capital.
New plans have been filed for a 34-story residential tower at 650 Harrison Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project applicant, N17, is the same developer from the Builder’s Remedy-assisted proposal to potentially create over a thousand homes at 80 Willow Road in Menlo Park. The developer has also filed similar plans for a 31-story tower at 598 Bryant Street. Allrise Capital is the property owner.
