The development has been awarded $33.5 million from the California Department of Housing and Community Development, allowing the team to continue working towards breaking ground as early as 2027. The proposal looks to replace the nearly century-old church with a community-oriented apartment development. The Unity Council is responsible for the project.
Doors have opened for the $290 million first phase of Gateway Crossing in Santa Clara, Santa Clara County. The project team has completed the first two seven-story mixed-use buildings, featuring over seven hundred homes, situated beside a new central park. Holland Partner Group is responsible for developing the first phase on behalf of the masterplan developer, Hunter Storm.
Updated permits have been filed for a private student housing project at 6801 Elvas Avenue in East Sacramento, close to the city’s California State University campus. The proposal is looking to replace a low-slung commercial site with 165 apartments. The application was published by the city’s planning department.
The proposed multifamily and commercial development at 990 34th Street took a major step forward, with plans approved by the City of Oakland. The existing West Oakland property is to be demolished and prepared for the construction of a six-story 78-unit building designed by Gunkel Architecture.
