New renderings have been revealed for a five-story mixed-use infill at 1776-1790 University Avenue in Central Berkeley, Alameda County. The project design by Baran Studio Architect will use simple materials and plain massing to create 17 dorm-style apartments, including two affordable units, above commercial retail. The UC Berkeley Campus is just 10 minutes away on foot.

New renderings have been published for the residential infill plans at 2701 Broadway in Curtis Park, Sacramento. Separated by a freeway from the rest of Midtown and Downtown Sacramento, the project offers added density in a retail-rich neighborhood. Demolition permits were filed in mid-February. Baran Studio Architecture is the project architect.
Construction at a new modular homes project has topped out at 1888 Martin Luther King Jr Way in Downtown Oakland. The six-story development will add 88 new apartments to the city, including nine affordable housing units. Baran Studio Architects is responsible for the distinctive design.
