Plans have been filed for a potential new life science development at 505 Penobscot Drive in Redwood City, San Mateo County. The proposal seeks to replace a single-story office campus with two five-story life sciences buildings and two multi-level garages. MetLife Investment Management is the project applicant.
The project team gathered late last week for the ceremonial grand opening of the Kelsey Civic Center at 240 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco. Doors are now open for the 112 units of affordable housing above a Disability Cultural Center. The development is a joint venture between Mercy Housing and The Kelsey.
Preliminary plans have been filed for a behavioral health recovery facility close to the MacArthur BART Station at 3841 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland’s Temescal neighborhood. The project would replace two smaller buildings with a four-story medical space. Hayward-based Horizon Services is the property owner and sponsor.
Urban Catalyst has submitted an extension request for the Icon/Echo project at 147 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The team is looking to extend the entitlement approvals by another two years, allowing more time to shore up financing before starting construction.
Prospective tenants now have the chance to apply to live at the affordable housing complex at 240 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco’s Civic Center. Construction topped out earlier this year for the eight-story building, named The Kelsey Civic Center, with move-ins expected early next year. Applications will be accepted until October 16th.
